Wow! Didn't realize it had been sooo long. I guess I have been too caught up in our family's drama to think about posting here. Shortly after my last post, my husband was admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure. What a shock for us! He is 42 and has always seemed so healthy. After much testing, it was discovered that his aortic valve has a congenital defect. So, on Thursday of this week, he will be having aortic valve replacement surgery. We are just happy to finally be at this point. It has been 7 weeks of waiting to get here.
In the meantime, I have been keeping my sanity by knitting. I think everyone I know will be receiving socks for Christmas. Socks are small, portable projects that are even mindless at times. Knitting socks keeps my hands busy and frees my mind to deal with other things.
I'll post an update on my wonderful hubby after surgery. Please keep him and our 4 children in your prayers.
